Parks House has an interesting history. The house was commissioned to be built in 1927 by the famous Washington DC Brew master, Christian Heurich, founder of the Olde Heurich Brewing Company. Christian Heurich lived in the famous “Castle†on New Hampshire Avenue and offered Parks House to his son and daughter-in-law as a wedding gift. Later in the century after the family moved on, the home was rented to the Belgian Embassy.
