Launched in December of 2011, Treats by Jen Cinclair is an party planning service and line of goodies and cakes crafted with quality ingredients in small batches specifically customized for your special events. I would love to make your event sweeter with personalized party favors, wedding favors, and corporate gifts or run smoother with event planning and day-of coordination.
Graduating from the French Culinary Institute with a Grande Diploma in Classic Pastry Arts was a late-coming dream after years of working in the non-profit world planning conferences and fundraising events. I had always had a passion for trying new recipes and baking up goodies and when I finally thought of it as a career possibility I went for it. Taking the leap out of the office and into the kitchen has been a blast and I am loving my adventures in sugar!
Also a graduate of Hood College with a degree in Sociology with a concentration on Social Science Research I was the proud recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Recent Alumni Award. Though I am not obviously using my degree in Sociology as a pastry chef and party planner, my experience at Hood has never left me. I gained an insight into the flexibility of an individual’s ideals. Taste buds are the same—fickle, influenced by others, and diverse.
I am currently the pastry chef at Spoon Catering and TBSP foodbar in Chelsea/Flatiron. Spoon is a happy kitchen and I get to make a variety of treats including cakes, pies, ice creams, scones, cookies, brownies, pizza and savory dough, granola, and canned jams and curds.
When not in the kitchen, you can find me hosting fundraising events for the Imperial Court of New York under the name of Countess Q.T. Pie!
