The Sandy Spring Museum, situated in northeastern Montgomery County, Md., was founded in 1981 as the established community of farms, pastureland and, winding roads were undergoing suburban transformation. The museumâ€™s mission is to invite visitors to leverage the past to shape their future, using Sandy Springâ€™s historical legacy rich in social reform, innovation, education, and cultural achievement as a springboard. Our award-winning facility supports exhibits, research, education programs, and special events. The Sandy Spring Museum is a 501 (c) (3) organization.
