Keep Halloween appetizers for kids fun and festive and make Halloween appetizers for adults more adventurous. Here are some easy Halloween appetizer recipes to make for your spooktacular celebration.

Deviled Egg Eye Balls
These are the perfect spooky, easy Halloween appetizers that look gross but taste great.
  • 1 dozen hard-boiled eggs
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 24 green olives with pimentos
  • Dry yellow mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red food coloring
Start by cutting the eggs lengthwise and remove the yolks into a mixing bowl. Use a fork to mash the egg yolks and add a pinch of dry mustard, the mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Mix well. Place about a tablespoon of the mixture onto the hallowed out egg white halve. Using a toothpick, create eyeball veins on the egg yolk mixture with the red food coloring. Top the egg yolk with a sliced green pimento olive.

Goblin Green Guacamole
This Halloween appetizer tastes delicious and is perfect for large crowds. Serve with blue corn tortilla chips.
  • 6-10 ripe avocados
  • 1 bunch of fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 2-3 heirloom tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 red onion, minced
  • Coarse salt and pepper
  • 1 lime
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. sour cream
  • 1 bag of gummy insects, spiders or worms
Cut avocados in half and remove the seed. Scoop out the avocado and place in mixing bowl. Mash the avocado in the mixing bowl using a fork (leave at desired chunkiness). Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, and salt and pepper, then juice the lime over the bowl and mash some more. Add the tablespoon of sour cream and mix. Lastly, add the tomatoes and mix them in gently. If you mash them in too hard, the guacamole will become soupy. Garnish with gummy worms and spiders for a spooky Halloween touch.

Bloody Fingers
This is a twist on the classic cocktail hotdog and is perfect for an adult cocktail celebration or a children’s costume party. Just switch up the dips from ketchup to a stone ground Dijon mustard for an adult Halloween appetizer.
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 36 mini hotdogs
  • Ketchup
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Start by cutting the tortilla into 1x4 inch strips. Wrap the tortilla strips around each mini hotdog. Seal with a small dollop of ketchup. Place the “fingers” on a baking sheet, seam side down, and bake for ten minutes or until hot. Place a dollop of ketchup on the tip of the mini hotdog to look like a fingernail. Place on a serving platter with other dips like spicy mustard, relish and hot peppers.

Pumpkin Dip
Make this appetizer as a festive seasonal addition to your party menu. Serve in a hallowed-out pumpkin for a fun Halloween presentation.
  • 1 large can of pureed pumpkin
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. garlic
  • 3 tbsp. coarse dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp. freshly chopped rosemary
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the olive oil and garlic until golden brown. Remove from heat and add mustard. Stir to combine well. Let stand until the mixture has cooled, about 20 minutes. Add the pumpkin puree, rosemary, salt and pepper to season. Combine well. Serve in a carved out pumpkin with homemade or store-bought pita chips.
Witch Finger Cheesy Breadsticks
Dress up delicious cheesy breadsticks for a fun Halloween treat! The kids will get a kick out of these.
  • 1 (10 oz) can prepared pizza crust
  • 1 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1⁄2 c. shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp. parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp. dried basil
  • 1⁄4 tbsp. garlic salt
  • 1 red pepper (for the decoration!)
Preheat oven to 425º. Unroll the pizza dough onto a greased cookie sheet and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle the cheese and spices over the dough. With a pizza cutter, cut the dough lengthwise into 12 long strips. Next, cut those in half to make 24 strips. (Do’t separate strips!) Bake for 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Once cooked, cut along each strip and remove from cooking sheet. Cup triangle-shaped pieces of the red pepper to top as the witch’s fingernails. Serve sticks warm with marinara sauce.

Ghost Sandwiches
This finger food appetizer looks festive and is super easy to assemble.
  • 1 loaf of pumpernickel bread
  • 24 slices of orange cheddar cheese
  • Ghost-shaped cookie cutter
Start by assembling sandwiches using one to two slices of cheese for filling. Use the ghost cookie cutter to cut out the ghost sandwiches. Place on a Halloween themed serving platter and enjoy. For an added touch, consider grilling the sandwiches!
